At Safe and Sound Schools, our mission has always been strengthened by those who stand with us.

As we continue to grow and evolve, I am deeply grateful for those who not only bring extraordinary professional expertise, but who also understand that protecting students and educators is ultimately about people, relationships, and shared responsibility.

It is with great pride that I welcome Mark Quinn and Beth LaGuardia Cooper to the Safe and Sound Schools Board of Directors. Each brings a powerful combination of strategic insight, leadership experience, and commitment to using their talents in service for something larger than themselves.

Mark Quinn

Mark Quinn joins our board with decades of experience leading growth, innovation, and connection across complex organizations. Throughout his career, Mark has built and scaled brands, led high-performing teams, and helped organizations navigate moments of transformation with clarity and purpose.

What stands out most to me about Mark is his ability to see both the big picture and the human impact behind it. He understands how strategy, storytelling, and engagement come together to move people—and missions—forward. His background in marketing, business development, and consumer engagement will be invaluable as Safe and Sound Schools continues to expand our reach and deepen our impact nationwide.

Mark’s perspective will help ensure that our programs, resources, and voice continue to meet the moment and reach the communities who need them most.

Beth LaGuardia Cooper

Beth LaGuardia Cooper brings more than 30 years of strategic marketing and leadership experience across education, media, and mission-driven organizations. She has spent her career building systems, teams, and strategies that drive growth while staying rooted in purpose and values.

Beth’s work reflects a deep understanding of how thoughtful communication, data-informed decision-making, and strong relationships can transform organizations from the inside out. She has helped guide institutions through periods of rapid growth and change—always with a focus on sustainability, integrity, and impact.

Her experience in education-focused environments and her ability to align strategy with mission will be a tremendous asset as we continue to strengthen and scale our work in prevention, preparedness, and inclusive school safety.
