We are honored to welcome Deputy Chief D.J. Schoeff as a member of the Safe and Sound Schools Speakers Bureau!
With extensive experience in law enforcement leadership, school-based policing, and training as a member of the Maxwell leadership team, D.J. brings a practical, collaborative perspective to school safety and the partnerships that help protect students and strengthen school communities.

Throughout his career, D.J. has served in a variety of roles, including patrol officer, School Resource Officer (SRO), SRO Sergeant, and Deputy Chief of Administration. His experience in school-based policing and leadership training has informed his approach to building relationships with students, educators, school administrators, and community partners. He has also dedicated significant time to advancing the field nationally through his leadership within the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), including 12 years on its Board of Directors and service as President.
Through his work in law enforcement and professional leadership training, D.J. has helped advance the knowledge and practices that support effective school-based policing. His experience offers valuable insights for school leaders, law enforcement professionals, and community partners working together to create safer, more supportive learning environments.
